The Alfa Romeo 2000 GT Veloce (also known as 2000 GTV) was introduced in 1971. The 2000 came to replace the 1750, and used the same mechanical base, using the same engine with increased capacity for 1962cc, going on to charge 133 horses at 5500rpm

The interior has also been redesigned, the most notable differences being the introduction of a new set of instruments between the speedometer and tachometer, instead of the previous ones installed in the center console.
